" I always put in one controversial item.
It makes people talk"

ABOUT

Creativity and design have always been my outlet to escape, dream and expand consciousness. The process of designing doll houses evolved to experimenting on myself, family, friends, and eventually a career.

With a background in economics, history of art, and a master’s in architectural interior design, I was able to go to my happy place; I love transforming old, neglected, and forgotten houses.

The challenge is finding hidden beauty where many have passed over their abode and neglected it. Then, these places can be transformed to a new life full of love, style and interest.

On demand, I have collaborated with Feng Shui masters, House Whisperers, and Sacred Geometry specialists, diving into other dimension of spatial awareness: becoming an alchemist in the transformation of the house.

The Design Process

My favourite quote

01.

What should good house design accomplish?

To design well, each house should reflect the owner, echoing their present and possible future needs. And, just as every person has many layers, one’s sanctuary reflects one’s outer and inner being and secrets. As one flows from the external façade inwards through the entertaining quarters and then on through more intimate areas, one can sense the transformation of personalities like peeling off layers of an onion’s skins.

At times, a different room will reveal a dramatic change to the inhabitant’s public and private personality; a designer will get to know their client inside and out. The design should create a mirror of one’s soul and provide a nurturing environment, to recharge, and to grow.

02.

How do you get your ideas?

I feel every space has its own character and one needs to listen and feel it.
Inspiration might come from a textile, an object, a painting, or nature. The design will then evolve.

03.

What’s important in your design?

I love the feeling of space, good lighting, balance and a juxtaposition of drama mixed with a calm flow. The small details are a must and most important, every space needs a conversational piece for the element of surprise. One needs to be reminded to smile and not take life too seriously.
